As if Peter Parker doesn't already have his hands full in Sony's "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" with classic foes Electro, the Green Goblin and the Rhino, one of the sequel's promotional sites suggests there may be more trouble in store for the wall-crawler.

An article posted on The Daily Bugle Tumblr reveals that Russian mob activity has reached an all-time high in New York City, with the gangsters branching out into "high-tech crimes such as the theft of microchips, processors, experimental metal alloys, and advanced weaponry."

On the surface, the article would seem to lay the groundwork for Paul Giamatti's Rhino, as in Marvel Comics his alter ego Aleksei Sytsevich was a Russian mobster. However, some fans are wondering whether it hints at the inclusion of even more Silver Age villains: namely, the Enforcers.

The clues are definitely there, as the article is credited to Frederick Foswell, a Daily Bugle reporter as the crime boss Big Man, while Fancy Dan Brito -- aka one-third of the Big Man's henchmen the Enforcers -- is quoted as saying, "Everything has a price. Including the head of so-called superheroes."

Directed by Marc Webb, "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" also stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Chris Cooper and Sally Field. It opens May 2.
