Amazing Spider-Dad has birthday surprise for son with cancer

Mike Wilson wanted to do something special to celebrate the fifth birthday of his son Jayden, who was diagnosed in September 2013 with a grade 4 brain stem tumor and given about a year to live.

Drawing inspiration from Jayden's favorite superhero -- "His bedroom is covered in Spider-Man pictures," his dad tells The Independent -- Mike had a costume custom-made so he could deliver a birthday surprise.

As you can see in the video below, Mike actually jumped from the roof of their house, shocking not only Jayden but the rest of their family before chatting with the boy and carrying him inside. "He's such a little hero, and we want the world to know about his journey," Mike tells the newspaper. "As well as to see the Spider-Man video and generate inspiration from it, so that kids have dreams made realities.”

There's a GoFundMe page established to help Jayden's family pay hospital costs and supplements not covered by the National Health Service.
