Comic book covers paying homage to moments in comic history are not uncommon. However, the cover for Amazing Mary Jane #10 takes it up a notch by homaging two different universes.
Artist Paulo Siqueira posted the cover for the recently canceled series to the Comic Art Fans website. "This was supposed to be the cover for Mary Jane Issue #10...but the book got canceled," Siqueira wrote. "It's Mary Jane as Princess Leia, but with much bigger guns. Guns everywhere!
The cover features Mary Jane Watson in Princess Leia's infamous metal bikini from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi holding a rather large blaster rifle in one hand and a ray gun in the other. In front of MJ lie two more crates, stuffed to the brim with weapons. Siqueira also noted the cover is based on Spawn #7, which is infamous in its own right.
