It is always amazing what talented fans can do when they love a franchise. All it takes is some time, some effort, and an internet connection to share your admiration for any anime with the world. This is doubly so for a franchise as big a Fate.

One way to do that is fan art. A community that has been close to the Fate franchise since the beginning. Back when there were only 8 servants and 8 masters, there was already a plethora of people willing to put pen to paper to draw up amazing things. So it is not hard to imagine that has multiplied ever since then. The inclusion of alternate stories, spin-offs, and other adaptations has spun the franchise into a worldwide phenomenon and has inspired fan artists all over that world to draw out their love for it. So let's take a trip through the internet and find 10 amazing works of Fate fan art that we love!

10 Path Of The King By Nine

Here's an interesting take on an old favorite. Saber, otherwise known as Artoria, is the face of the Fate franchise and has been adapted in many ways and many forms. Though, one that usually escapes notice is her time as a King.

Here Nine gives us a glimpse at exactly that. While the tales of King Arthus are usually romanticized, it is still no doubt that the King has had to cut a bloody path to protect their kingdom. Enemies and allies having paid the price for the protection of Camelot. And Nine does an excellent job of presenting that sad reality in their drawing.

9 Jeanne Sisters By Soup-chan

Now something a bit more lighthearted. Like Saber, Jeanne d'Arc has made herself a face of the franchise. Even more like her, her popularity has pushed the franchise in creating alternate versions of herself. A darker version considered her Alter, and a younger version of her Alter version (don't ask, it's complicated).

By now she has enough copies to almost make a family. If not, Soup-chan sure makes it seem like it as she creates a wonderful dynamic between the "sisters," Jeanne d'Arc as the mature older sister, Jeanne Alter as the willful middle sister and Jeanne Alter Santa Lily (again, it's complicated) as the childish little sister. Each enjoying a day out with the family. Even if Jeanne Alter pretends like she doesn't enjoy it.

8 Sakata Kintoki By 六時

There is no better way to describe this as "golden." This character is actually the Heroic Spirit from the Japanese folk tale of Kintaro. In the Fateverse, he is a child of great strength who later became one of the Four Heavenly Kings under Minamoto no Raikou and is famous for his battle against one of Japan's Three Great Monsters, Shuten Doujin.

He's also one of the coolest new Servants brought into Fate/Grand Order. Utterly fascinated by the modern era, this Golden Boy has developed a gold fetish but never changed his old fashion ideals of what a hero should be. Honorable, righteous, and a defender of woman and children, here 六時 shows what seems to be Kintoki going off to right some wrong.

7 Alexander's Last Stand By ???

Back to the sadness. Alexander is one of the most well-known Servants from Fate/Zero, a big and burly but jovial man, he's an inspiration to all those around him in his dogged pursuit for his own goals. And also a constant source of levity in the dark story Fate/Zero tells.

Unfortunately, this work of art doesn't seem to have a name attached to it (but if someone happens to find it please contact us here) but they do an excellent job depicting Alexander's last moments in Fate/Zero. The sharp red a nice contrast to the more subdued colors around it, almost as if it is standing strong to the overwhelming power around it. Just like our hero.

6 Teacher and Student By ましゅー

Cu Chulainn and Scáthach have a complicated relationship in the Fateverse. Scáthach is a mentor, lover, and aloof adopted mother to Cu Chulainn while Cu is a pupil, lover, and willful son to Scáthach. See we told you it was complicated. Though one place they are entirely equal to one another is the Battlefield.

ましゅー focuses their piece on a battle between them in an exciting action shot of the two getting up close and personal. Weapon clashing upon weapon as they find each other equal in skill and strength. After all, there is a reason that Scathach believes that Cu Chulainn is the only person who can grant her wish and kill her. Again, their relationship is complicated.

5 Shinjuku Saber By Groomrat

Originally, Fate/Apocrypha was supposed to take place in Shinjuku, thankfully that didn't end up being the case and we got this badass version of Saber Alter instead. Fully utilizing her Riding Skill to drive one of the coolest motorcycles we've seen in a long type.

She calls it Cuirassier Noir and she looks good in it. On the other hand, Groomrat manages to make both of them look good. The picture letting everyone know that black is still the new black and compliments this dark version of Saber well along with her chosen "mount." Though don't let all that dark attire fool you, Saber Alter is a lot more approachable since her first entry into the franchise.

4 Nobunaga By 夜kun

Surprise! Who would have thought that the Fate franchise would change the gender of a male historical character to a woman? Gee wiz, not any of the fans of the Fateverse that's for sure! We know, you must be all shocked!

Still, their version of Nobunaga does make for a pretty cool chick. In all of her forms she is haughty and a bit of a troublemaker, but also energetic and flexible. This version of Nobunaga adding a mature aspect to all those traits, which ends up making Nobu look pretty cool. A fact that 夜kun seemed to focus on in their picture.

3 Pumpkin Princess By ReDrop

This is the closest we'll get to official fanart. ReDrop is an artist that does a lot of official work for Fate/Grand Order. They have drawn a Servant and a lot of Craft Essences (essentially equipment in-game) for Fate/GO. Yet, what they tend to do on their downtime is to draw more Fate/Grand Order stuff.

This picture is a tradition they started. Ever since drawing a few Craft Essences for the Halloween event in-game, they'd made a habit of drawing an unofficial Halloween Craft Essence every year. This year's victim being Mordred in a Craft Essence that translates to Pumpkin Princess. The girl adorable enough in the drawing to forget that she brought down Camelot.

2 Elizabeth By LucidSky

This piece is part of a passion project by online fan artists to create a deck of playing cards centered around Fate/Grand Order. Each card featuring a different Servant drawn by one of the members of the project. Elizabeth being one of the many great illustrations throughout the set.

The little Dragoness looks great in LucidSky's style. The art is as vibrant as the character and as detailed as needed to properly be to get the fluffiness of her skirt just right and every other exact detail of her dress. If this looks good to you, check for LucidSky's table at your local Anime Convention. You might be able to snag the cards and plenty of her other great works.

1 Master and Servant By Stu_dts

If Shirou and Saber are the most popular Servant and Master pair in the Fate franchise, then Rin and Archer are a close second. In fact, they are also the first pair we are introduced to in the original visual novel and the anime adaptation.

Here Stu_dts give us an exciting shot of the duo in what seems to be oil paint. The style blending well with the anime character and giving them an artistic interpretation rarely seen in the medium. It is really amazing how Stu_dts translates the style into something that could be displayed in an art museum somewhere.
