The Avengers obviously don't belong in the DC Universe but there's plenty of places that they could fit in. In fact, there might be a variety of locations throughout the multiverse that could serve as a great Avengers HQ.

While the base would belong there, more importantly these locations are in need of some kind of heroic team. What's more, there are DC universes where it makes sense to actually have the Avengers! Here are 10 of those worlds.

10 Earth X

Earth X is primarily known for being the part of the multiverse which has an Earth run by Nazis. WWII did not end in the favor of the allies and now a Nazi regime controls Earth.

There is no better place for the Avengers to be set up than in the heat of battle. With Captain America leading the charge, this is a team no stranger to this threat, having faced Hydra for many years before.

9 Injustice

The Injustice world, popularised by the video games, is one in which the villains have won. In a world full of doubt and very little hope left for the heroes that still live, Superman has gone insane.

Turning the world in to some kind of police state, it seems like the Avengers would do well here, perhaps hoping to succeed where many Justice League members had failed before them.

8 Kingdom Come

Superman and his Justice League in Kingdom Come

Another desolate universe is that of the Kingdom Come story line. Superman really has lost everything, but it takes a real hero to rise again despite all of the adversary that he is facing.

This is a world that the Avengers would be able to cope with. One where super heroes are dying out but also one where hope can still be found in the darkest of places. The Avengers do their best work after the fact!

7 Red Son

The Red Son story line saw Kal-El actually land in Russia rather than the small town of Smallville. This turns him into a communist threat, one that has a stern grip over the reality.

The Avengers would certainly be needed in this timeline, as they are plenty used to fighting off fascists. It would be an interesting conflict to see the Earth's mightiest heroes face off against the son of Russia.

6 Watchmen

The main characters of Watchmen

The Watchmen universe is one where reality has been warped. With Dr. Manhattan posing as a god, vigilantes on the streets and yet a backlash to super heroes, this is a complex world for the Avengers to arrive in.

By perhaps making some of their origins a little more realistic, the team could actually fight the tone of the universe quite nicely. A super soldier experiment, a trained assassin, even another false god, could all add to the story.

5 Justice Lords

The Justice Lords exist in a world where the Justice League have gotten a bit high and mighty. They are no longer as heroic as you may expect them to be.

Therefore, it seems fitting to bring in an organisation that can still instil peace in the correct manner and perhaps put these lords in their place. It's a world that the Avengers were made for!

4 Earth 1

Of course, the most obvious answer to this hypothetical question is the traditional Earth 1. Plenty of heroes have come and gone from the normal DC Earth, but we've never seen the Avengers there before.

It would be interesting to see the team naturally form from slightly different origins and find a place in this universe. It would certainly provide unique takes on the characters.

3 Crossover

Earth 7642 is the home of the major crossover universe. It's where multiple brands cross over with one another, including DC and Marvel, alongside others such as The Transformers.

It's exactly the kind of place where the Avengers actually belong, amongst the chaos of it all. It could be really fun to see this Earth actually explored further, with many different brands on board.

2 Earth-B

Earth B is a slightly different reality to normal Earth 1. It has many of the same traits, but there's a few difference amongst the characters. Perhaps this is therefore the perfect setting to bring in the team.

Since everything is flipped on its head a little, the Justice League could be replaced by the Avengers. They could do a lot of good in a world that contains all of the same villains as the traditional Earth prime, although some are far more aggressive.

1 Thunderworld

thunderworld

Thunderworld or Earth 5, is the land in which the Marvel family reside. Shazam's reality is inhabited by others in the Marvel family. There have been little teases to the fact that Captain Marvel is part of the same family as Shazam.

If there was to be a crossover story once again it would include these versions of Captain Marvel and perhaps even Ms Marvel alongside the Avengers. Thunderworld could be a great place to have a base therefore.
