Concept artist Joshua James Shaw has developed character designs for "X-Men: Days of Future Past," "Deadpool," and Brett Dalton's character HIVE on "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Today he posted some unused design concepts for Cyclops and Mystique in "X-Men: Apocalypse."

Cyclops is wearing a blue uniform with the classic yellow utility belt strapped both in front of and behind his chest. One image features Cylops wearing his red glasses, the other shows him wearing the laser focusing goggles. Both of these looks are reminiscent of Cyclops' outfits in both the comics and the animated "X-Men" series from the 1990s.

Mystique/Raven can be seen wearing a white and gray bodysuit and gloves. The design makes it look like the white design is over the gray, mimicking her white dress from the comics. Jennifer Lawrence has been superimposed into these designs, but Cyclops does not look like Tye Sheridan. It's possible these were designed before casting was finalized.

Cyclops and Mystique are both wearing more battle-ready tactical gear in the film (which they stole from Alkali Lake,) which might be why they scrapped these character-specific uniforms.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is currently in theaters.
