Marvel Comics' 2008 "Old Man Logan" storyline spawned an ongoing series, influenced the Academy Award-nominated Logan, and inspired the new prequel miniseries Old Man Hawkeye. And in April, the publisher will put a new twist on the concept with "Old Woman Laura."

RELATED: All-New Wolverine's Sister Finally Gets the Perfect Code Name

Launching in April with All-New Wolverine #33, by writer Tom Taylor and artist Ramon Rosanas, the arc heads into a near-future where, as opposed to the post-apocalyptic setting of "Old Man Logan," it finds a utopian world that enjoys a peace won by superheroes. There, Laura Kinney, Wolverine's cloned daughter, has retired her costume and now serves as benevolent queen of Madripoor. That is, until "a long-simmering evil" forces her back into costume as Wolverine.

The solicitation text doesn't offer any clues as to what that evil is, but the enormous Doctor Doom looming in the background of David Lopez's cover for All-New Wolverine #34 may tell us something. Or perhaps he's merely a guest star.
