This week is poised to be a major one for the new professional wrestling promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW), as it prepares to air a two-hour wrestling series AEW: Dynamite on Wednesday, Oct. 2 on TNT.
To build anticipation for the new federation's debut on cable television, Dynamite has shared the opening title sequence online, showcasing its numerous stars, including Chris Jericho, Cody Rhodes and Jon Moxley battling each other in the ring, with rainbow bursts of color to herald the big ticket matches each week.
The opening episode for the weekly series will be broadcast live from the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. starting at 8pm ET on TNT, with a new episode being broadcast each week from a different venue. The new series will mark the first time TNT has regularly broadcast professional wrestling since the end of WCW Monday Nitro in 2001.
To help commemorate the launch of AEW: Dynamite, the organization had partnered with DC Comics for Supervillain Weekend, a promotion that ran the last weekend in September, with fan-favorite DC artists rendering the many memorable personalities in original art pieces.
AEW: Dynamite airs weekly on TNT at 8 p.m. ET starting Wednesday, Oct. 2.
