Aliens comic illustrator Tristan Jones accused Aliens Omnibus Vol. 1 cover artist Greg Land of copying his artwork for the new edition's cover.

"Been stewing on this all night: I'm 100% sure I've been Greg Landed," Jones wrote on Twitter. "His cover for Marvel's upcoming omnibus + my drawings. I saw this on IG and recognised the hands right away." Jones also tested the comparison on Photoshop, which seemingly confirmed a match between his and Land's artwork.

This is not the first time Land has been accused of plagiarizing other artists' work, as evident by Jones' usage of the term "Greg Landed." Land has also faced accusations of lifting images from pornography for series such as Fantastic Four and Ultimate Power. He has denied all the allegations.

"I don"t know Greg, and I've seen people say he's a lovely guy, but you'd be hard pressed to convince me this isn’t largely comprised of my own drawings," Jones told Observer. "Quite frankly if that's the case, it's insulting that, as someone who lost potential work opportunities as an Aliens and Predator artist at Dark Horse right up to the license being taken away by Marvel, the first piece of 'new' shelf-ready art out of Marvel is essentially my work with a different head stuck on it, but Greg's collected the check."

Jones called the incident, "infuriating," especially since he is currently working a day job in Australia so he can get back to a financially secure state and return to full-time writing and drawing following the coronavirus' decimating impact on country's economy.
