Noomi Rapace had a rough go of it in "Prometheus," Ridley Scott's 2012 prequel to the "Alien" franchise. Last we saw of her, she was zooming out towards the stars in a spaceship with only the disembodied head of the morally dubious android David by her side. We've known for a little while now that Rapace would be returning in some capacity for next month's highly anticipated "Alien: Covenant," but the exact details of her role in the film remain pretty murky. While the newest teaser for the movie includes a shoutout to Rapace's character, Elizabeth Shaw, we gotta say, her chances of survival don't look so great. Check out the video below.

Shaw doesn't appear face-to-face with the Covenant crew per se, but with Katherine Waterston's character, Daniels, finding her discarded -- and slimy -- dog tag, as well as watching what looks to be an old video of Rapace using the last film's Engineer recording technology, it's probably safe to assume things didn't exactly get easier for the "Prometheus" survivor.

Fans can finally learn the fate of Shaw and her buddy, David, when "Alien: Covenant," also starring Michael Fassbender, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England and Benjamin Rigby, hits theaters on May 17.
