20th Century Fox, the studio behind the latest prequel in the "Alien" film franchise, has just released our best glimpse yet of the "Alien: Covenant" main cast -- as they gathered around the dinner table in what's presumably the ship's interior.

Forebodingly, the image delivered from the studio is labeled "AC_LastSup_group.jpg," which may be a hint that we might see some kind of reprise of the "last supper" alien birth scene from the original 1979 "Alien" movie.

The image is also accompanied by a plot synopsis, which reads: "Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created, with "Alien: Covenant," a new chapter in his groundbreaking "Alien" franchise. The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape."

All of which sounds pretty similar to the fate that befell the group of colonists sent LV426 in the set up for the 1986 sequel "Aliens," although that planet was pretty far from being a paradise even before the the Xenomorph eggs arrived.

More "Alien: Convenant" promotion is promised this Wednesday on FX's "Legion" series -- specifically an "exclusive debut" of some kind.

Opening May 19, “Alien: Covenant” stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England and Benjamin Rigby.
