Alex Ross' 'Burning Earth' collection leads off series of Terminator Graphic Novels

Official Press Release

Following the successful launch of its new graphic novel line - starting in March 2003 with Don Lomax's Vietnam Journal, and continuing in June with Harlan Ellison and Richard Corben's Vic and Blood: The Continuing Adventures of a Boy and His Dog and Guy Davis and Gary Reed's Honour Among Punks - New York-based publishing company ibooks, inc. has recently announced the upcoming publication of a new line of graphic novels featuring the classic Terminator characters.

"We are pleased to announce the expansion of our new graphic novel line to include classic and new works in the classic TERMINATOR and TERMINATOR 2 franchises," explained company president Byron Preiss."These should not be confused with the superb new books from Beckett, which features Terminator 3, the film which took in over 70+ million dollars in its opening week."

Leading off the classic Terminator line is the October 2003 publication of the manga- softcover sized volume Terminator 2: Judgment Day - The Official Graphic Novel, an adaptation by writer Gregory Wright and artist Klaus Janson of the 1994 James Cameron film. This book has long been out of print and is aggressively priced at $9.95

Now, another Terminator has arrived - one programmed to protect Sarah and her son, John, from a cyborg even more powerful than their inhuman guardian! Ross' original cover art will be adapted into a graphic design by fan favorite, Steranko, in his first work with Ross' art.
