We haven’t heard much from The Crow and Knowing director Alex Proyas since Legendary Pictures put the kibosh on his big-budget adaptation of John Milton’s Paradise Lost, but it appears as if he’s on to a new project called Gods of Egypt.
Heat Vision reports that the Summit Entertainment film features a trio consisting of a goddess, a god and a mortal battling evil in ancient Egypt. It’s being written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, who also wrote the script for the in-production Dracula: Year Zero, which Proyas was actually attached to direct in earlier incarnations. Proyas’ last film to hit theaters was the 2009 Nicolas Cage sci-fi thriller Knowing.
