Alan Tudyk will star in the pilot for the potential upcoming Syfy series Resident Alien.

Based on the Dark Horse comic, Resident Alien centers on an alien that crashes in a small Colorado town and is forced to take a human identity as a reclusive retired doctor to avoid detection, all in the hopes that he can stay hidden long enough for his people to come and rescue him. But when the only other doctor in town is murdered, he’s forced to try and solve the mystery while remaining hidden from the townsfolks and, more importantly, the government.
