A piece of comic book history is being auctioned off to benefit a legendary comic book creator. Former Wildstorm editor Scott Dunbier is auctioning off Alan Moore's unpublished script for a Gen 13 annual.

Titled "The Coming of The Collector!" the script consists of 35 typed pages, and contains 28 pages of a planned 48-page story. At the time of writing, the script currently sits at a bid of $3,383 on eBay. Dunbier wrote that the bid was intended to support comic book inker Bob Wiacek, who is having health issues relating to his eyes.

Wiacek served as an inker on several popular books, including Uncanny X-Men for Marvel and Brave and the Bold for DC. "Bob has some severe eye issues that preclude him from being able to work. All money earned will go directly to aid Bob," Dunbier stated, adding that the script was being sold with Moore's knowledge and blessing. The script has been making the rounds on Twitter thanks to Neil Gaiman.

Created by J. Scott Campbell for Image Comics, Gen13 focuses on several "Gen-Active" teenagers who develop superhuman abilities after being experimented on. The team's membership includes the super-strong, statuesque Caitlin Fairchild; Freefall, who can manipulate gravity; Rainmaker, who has the ability to manipulate the weather; Grunge, who takes on the properties of any object he touches; and the pyrokinetic Burnout.
