In the wake of Aladdin's brand-new trailer and poster, star Will Smith took to Instagram to pay tribute to man who played Genie in the original animated film: Robin Williams.

The image unites Williams' Genie with an animated version of Smith's Genie. In the caption, Smith said Williams left some "big shoes to fill" and joked that he knows Genie's have no feet. He also credited Luigi Lucarelli, who created the image, with an addendum: "Love the art work!"

Smith's Genie is perhaps the most controversial part of Aladdin so far, with the blue version of his character mocked online by fans. His human version of Genie was also brought into question, although it has since been revealed that this is simply Genie's human disguise. Nevertheless, Smith appears to be excited about the role.
