Artist BossLogic has unveiled his eye-catching poster for director Guy Ritchie's remake of the 1992 classic Disney animated movie Aladdin.
The poster was revealed on Twitter and is a minimalist design focusing on the smoke coming from the franchise's infamous lamp. Inside the smoke, we see Aladdin and Abu, as well as Princess Jasmine and the sinister Jafar, as the artist plays up the magic of the characters held within the relic.
There's few movies these days that have you feeling nourished, fulfilled, joyful and giddy when leaving the cinema. @disneyaladdin definitely did that for me, major kudos to @disney and #guyritchie job exceptionally well done.— BossLogic (@Bosslogic) May 23, 2019
Was an honour doing official works for #Aladdin pic.twitter.com/KRj7tCjFtQ
Most of all, at the top of the smoke cloud, we see Will Smith's Genie in all of his blue-hued glory, his arms folded as if he's ready to grant a wish. With so much negative space present in the overall aesthetic of the imagery, this montage certainly pops a bit more and adds a distinctive flair to how BossLogic interprets these key players in the upcoming fantasy adventure.
Directed by Guy Ritchie, Aladdin stars Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Will Smith as Genie, Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine, Marwan Kenzari as Jafar, Navid Negahban as the Sultan of Agrabah, Billy Magnussen as new character Prince Anders, and Frank Welker and Alan Tudyk as the voices of Abu and Iago, respectively. The film is in theaters everywhere.
