The majority of the fights in the anime were between the members of Night Raid and the members of the Jaegers, the two groups that the series focuses on. Due to their different beliefs and the tragic relationships that they've had with one another, fans were always excited to see who would win in a fight, and out of them all, these ten will always be the most impactful.

10 Tatsumi's Escape

After Esdeath introduced Tatsumi to the Jaegers, she assigned Wave to fight the Tree Beasts with him. On their quest, the two realized how similar they are. Upon seeing a Tree Beast, Tatsumi saved his enemy and used the situation as a way to escape. Once he noticed that Tatsumi was gone, Wave tried to find him and encountered Incursio, not knowing that it was Tatsumi underneath the armor.

Recognizing Incursio as only a member of Night Raid, Wave attacked him, delaying Tatsumi's escape. After Wave kicked him, Tatsumi turned invisible and fled. It didn't take long for him to reunite with his friends as they had been following him, waiting for the opportunity to get him back.

9  Bulat Vs Liver

Bulat Is Minimally Encnumbered By Armor

After Esdeath commanded the Three Beasts to pose as members of Night Raid to make her enemies look bad, Tatsumi and Bulat confronted them. Bulat observed Tatsumi's fight against Daidara in order to help his new comrade get stronger. Liver and Nyau joined Daidara to fight Bulat at the same time. Seeing as he was able to kill Daidara and knock the others back, Bulat was able to show Tatsumi how powerful he was.

What he didn't know, however, is who he was actually fighting and was shocked to find out that one of his opponents, Liver, was actually his former mentor. As they fought against each other, Tatsumi and Nyau had their own battle. Bulat and Liver both die as a result of their fight. Before Bulat passed, however, he gave Incursio to Tatsumi, who killed Nyau.

After Captain Ogre was killed, Seryu wanted revenge against Night Raid. She eventually found Sheele and Mine and fought the two of them using her Imperial Arms, Koro. Sheele was able to sneak around Koro and fight Seryu directly. Doing so, however, allowed Koro to nearly crush Mine to death as Seryu commanded her Imperial Arms during her fight with Sheele.

Sheele returned to Mine and slashed Koro's arm off, but lowered her guard against Seryu and was shot. As she couldn't move, Koro captured Sheele with its teeth. In order to let Mine escape, Sheele used Extase to blind their opponents but died in the process. When Mine told the members of Night Raid what had happened, they knew that their battle against Seryu had only just begun.

7 Tatsumi Vs Akame

In the first episode of the series, Tatsumi found himself separated from his friends with no money nor a place to go. A girl named Aria let him stay the night with her rich family and they seemed to want to help him out. When Night Raid killed her parents and guards, Tatsumi knew that he had to protect Aria. Akame found them and tried to kill Aria but told Tatsumi that he wasn't a target. Not understanding what was going on, he fought her and nearly died.

However, Leone stopped Akame from killing Tatsumi and showed him the truth. Aria was not the kind girl that she seemed to be and was actually planning on torturing Tatsumi, just as her family had done to his friends. Knowing that she was responsible for his friends' deaths, he got his revenge on her and joined Night Raid.

6 Avenging Sheele

When Seryu found Mine and Tatsumi, she attacked the two of them with Suzuka. The Night Raid members split up, with Tatsumi fighting Suzuka while Mine got the chance of avenging her fallen comrade. For the majority of their fight, Seryu had the advantage. However, after thinking back on her life, Mine knew that she couldn't let her story end there and cut Seryu in half.

Before she died, Seryu set off the bomb inside of her to explode in one minute. Shortly after, Tatsumi returned to Mine, as he had defeated Suzuka, and used Incursio to shield Mine since she was too exhausted to run far enough. From that point forward, the two Night Raid members grew feelings for each other.

4 Night Raid Vs The Jaegers

When Night Raid was ready to attack the Jaegers, they underestimated how powerful their enemies really were. Kurome also uses her puppets to help the Jaegers in the fight.

Members on both sides of the war, Bols and Chelsea, died and Kurome was poisoned, which would, later on, cause her to not be able to fight as well as she could before. Both groups planned to avenge their fallen friends and win their war in the next battle.

3 The Empire Falls

For the majority of the series, the Emperor was manipulated by the Minister. When Tatsumi tried to tell the Emperor what was going on, the young boy couldn't accept it and used his Imperial Arms to attack his own kingdom, not caring what would happen to his people. Thinking back on the friends he lost along the way, Tatsumi knew that he couldn't allow their deaths to have been for nothing, and sacrificed himself to defeat their enemy.

He died in Akame's arms and apologized for not surviving like he promised he would. After losing, the Emperor learned just how wrong he was and accepted his death. Leone killed the Minister, making sure that Night Raid's sacrifices really did make the world a better place.

2 Akame Vs Esdeath

Akame wasn't the only one to see Tatsumi as he died. Upon seeing his corpse, Esdeath knew that she had lost everything. She fought against Akame in the final battle of the series. Being the greatest opponent they ever faced, they showed how strong they really were. When Akame was about to kill Esdeath, she froze time.

However, the Akame that appeared before her was actually an afterimage and the real Akame struck her from above. Accepting her defeat and knowing that she wasn't the strongest like she always wanted to be, she walked over to Tatsumi and formed ice around the two of them, allowing her to be with the man she loved until she shattered.

1 The Strife Between Sisters

Kurome from Akame ga Kill

Akame and Kurome knew that they would have to fight each other to the death for a long time. When they faced each other, they reminisced about their lives, both as sisters and as enemies. Once they began fighting, they were interrupted by a Danger Beast and fought it together. However, even after helping each other, they knew that nothing could stop them from their battle. Wave showed up to help Kurome, not understanding that she wanted to fight her sister on her own, no matter what the result was.

Tatsumi tackled him and explained how this was the only solution for Kurome and Akame to get their feelings out. With no more interruptions, they said their final words to each other and Akame won the battle. After Kurome died and Wave took her body away, Akame cried in Tatsumi's arms, devastated that she had to kill her own sister.
