The Inspiration Behind the Attack on Titan Fan-Made Live-Action

Imagawa based the scene on the Battle of Shiganshina District, which introduced the Beast Titan. Imagawa shared a behind-the-scenes clip of him animating the viral fan film in a follow-up tweet. Imagawa said, "Instead of just making everything into realistic CG, I hand-drawn the thunder and three-dimensional movement wires frame by frame in order to retain a cartoonish expression." As expected, Imagawa blew away Attack on Titan's worldwide fans of Attack of Titan with the stunning CG rendition of their favorite series.

As a CG artist for Industrial Light & Magic, Imagawa works on the live-action Star Wars series Ahsoka for Disney+. The series stars Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, the Jedi Padawan of Anakin Skywalker. Doctor Who star David Tennant will reprise his role of the Jedi training droid Huyang in the limited series. In addition to Ahsoka, Imagawa was involved in the production of The Mandalorian Season 3.
