SPOILER WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for "The Force of Gravity," the latest episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. just revealed how Glenn Talbot, aka Graviton, will destroy the Earth. In "The Force of Gravity," the latest episode, he kidnapped Polly and Robin Hinton in order to learn the location of the planet's gravitonium reserves. During their conversation, he asked if she ever saw him "tearing the Earth apart" to discover the gravitonium, only for her to nod affirmative with a grim expression.

Last week, two members of the Confederacy -- Qovas and Taryan of the House Kasius -- made Talbot aware there is more gravitonium on Earth. He immediately wanted to find it, so that he could power himself up further and fight back against Thanos. In "The Force of Gravity," he took his first steps to finding it by commandeering the quinjet and heading back to Earth.

First, Tablot made a pit-stop to his house to see his family. However, due to his weakening mental condition, this reunion didn't quite go as planned. He ended up slamming his wife Carla up against the wall and accusing her of betraying him, all while his young son George watched. After a shootout with S.H.I.E.L.D., George accused him of being a villain.

"I'm just giving them a warning, that's all!" he insisted, despite the fact he had already killed an agent. "So that they'll understand that I'm the one who's going to save them. I just need to get a little more fuel in my tank first, then I can do it. You'll see. You keep watching the news, son. You'll see."

The next time Graviton reappeared in the episode, he was back aboard the quinjet with a few of his Marauder friends. This time, though, he had some human companionship: the Inhuman clairvoyant Robin Hinton and her mother Polly.

The scene began as Graviton emerged from the cockpit. "Don't worry. These fellas don't bite. At least, I don't think they do. You don't bite, do ya?" he said with a chuckle as the camera panned over to reveal Polly, who asked, "What do you want from us?"

At that, he turned to Robin. "You drew me. You see me in your head, don't you?" he asked. Robin nodded, so he continued, "You ever see me tearing the Earth apart, bringing something up from the ground?" With a grim look on her face, she nodded again. He then knelt down to look her in the face and said, "Good. Now tell me: where?"

Though the episode ended on that note, it's clear the season finale will see Graviton trying to unearth the rest of the gravitonium. This will likely lead to the destruction of the planet, as seen in the season premiere. Since Polly was not a part of the future Robin saw, it could also mean the death of the older Hinton, leading Robin to be adopted by May, as seen in the 2022 flashforward.
