SPOILER WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for "The One Who Will Save Us All," the latest episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Graviton has claimed his first major victim. In "The One Who Will Save Us All," the latest episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Glenn Talbot used his gravitonium-based powers to kill General Hale after she tried to control him through the Fautus method.

After he returned from his meeting with the Confederacy, Talbot got upset at Phil Coulson when he questioned his orders. To make matters worse, a S.H.I.E.L.D. strike team arrived shortly thereafter in an attempt to save them. Talbot saw this as a "mutiny," even though Coulson explained that he hadn't ordered the rescue effort.

When Talbot asked Hale if she had anything to do with this, she immediately tried to turn the tables. "I told Coulson not to do it. He wouldn't listen to me!" she lied. In response, Talbot ordered the Marauders to kill anyone they found.

"You've betrayed me for the last time, Phil," Tablot spat when Coulson protested. "Whatever happens next is on you."

Needless to say, Daisy and May were a little confused when Talbot met them with a show of force. Daisy insisted they were there to rescue him, but that only enraged Talbot further. "Rescue me?" he scoffed. "I'm the one that's here to save us!"

In a surprise turn of events, Hale stuck up for Daisy, since she had tried to help Ruby in her last moments. When Hale explained this, Talbot expressed his disdain for her late daughter. "Ruby was weak. Gravitonium wasn't intended for some itty-bitty little girl. It was meant for a hero strong enough to handle it," he said.

That was the final straw for Hale, who tried to use Hydra's hypnosis method to subdue him. "You need to take a deep breath and calm your mind, Glenn. You know what's best. It's best if you comply," she said with a neutral tone, to which Talbot replied, "Compliance will be rewarded."

"That's right," she said, allowing herself to relax. In that moment, Talbot chose to show his hand, saying, "And so will your betrayal." With that, he lifted her into the air and crushed her to death under the weight of his gravity powers.

Hale is, of course, Graviton's first human victim, since he mowed down several Marauders in much the same way he killed Hale when he first manifested his powers. However, his willingness to kill Hale shows just how unhinged he is becoming. It may only be a matter of time before he unleashes his powers on Coulson's team -- unless, of course, Thanos beats him to it.
