SPOILER WARNING: This article contains plot details regarding the latest episode of "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD."

"The Good Samaritan," this week’s episode of “Marvel’s Agents of Shield” revealed that current Ghost Rider Robbie Reyes made a deal for his soul with a devil who is in fact a previous Ghost Rider. While the episode did not explicitly state the identity of this demon, actor Gabriel Luna, who plays Reyes, may have confirmed who it is in a tweet (via ComicBook.com).

The young actor shared the cover and a page of interior art from “All-New Ghost Rider” depicting Reyes with original Ghost Rider Johnny Blaze.

The actor’s tweet isn’t the only thing lending credence to the notion that the unnamed character is in fact Johnny Blaze. Last week’s episode, “Lockup,” featured a basement full of Quentin Carnival posters -- which is where the original Ghost Rider worked as a stunt motorcycle driver before he made a deal with the Devil and became the Spirit of Vengeance.

In the comics, Johnny Blaze -- who debuted in Marvel Spotlight #5 (August 1972) -- bonds with the Spirit of Vengeance, and uses his supernatural powers to punish the wicked. He also mentors Reyes, who adopts the mantle. Reyes is not possessed by a demon, but by the spirit of Eli Morrow, Robbie’s serial killer uncle, who was murdered by a gang, and whose spirit is bound to the muscle car he drives.

Airing Tuesdays at 10 pm ET/PT on ABC, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” stars Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Chloe Bennet as Daisy “Quake” Johnson, Ming-Na Wen as Melinda May, Iain De Caestecker as Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Jemma Simmons, Henry Simmons as Alphonso “Mack” Mackenzie and more.
