Season four of ABC's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." has introduced a major new player to the Marvel Cinematic Universe -- the flaming spirit of vengeance himself, Ghost Rider. Gabriel Luna's Robbie Reyes debuted in the season premiere back in September and the supernatural antihero has really heated things up for Coulson's crew in the following weeks. Now with the sixth episode of the season, an installment titled "The Good Samaritan," audiences are set to learn exactly how Robbie Reyes made his deal with the devil.

ABC's synopsis for the episode reads:

Episode 4.06 – The Good Samaritan

The shocking origin story of Robbie’s transition into Ghost Rider is revealed as the lives of Coulson and the team hang in the balance.

The latest in a long line of Ghost Riders, the comic book version of Robbie Reyes debuted in 2014's "All-New Ghost Rider" #1. Created by Felipe Smith and Tradd Moore, the character changed things up for the classic hero; instead of a flaming motorcycle, the vigilante instead drove a hell-ified 1969 Dodge Charger. In the comics, Robbie became the Ghost Rider after a street race took a deadly turn where Reyes was mercilessly gunned down and resurrected by the Spirit of Vengeance. Fans will have to wait until November 1 to see if that origin story will play out on screen, or if the "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." writers have a new tale in mind for Robbie.

Airing Tuesdays at 10 pm ET/PT on ABC, "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." stars Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Chloe Bennet as Daisy "Quake" Johnson, Ming-Na Wen as Melinda May, Iain De Caestecker as Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Jemma Simmons, Henry Simmons as Alphonso "Mack" Mackenzie and more.
