The Superior is about to reap what he sows. In a new clip from "Self Control," tomorrow night's episode of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.", the Superior struggles to stay alive in the aftermath of his battle with Quake. However, Aida has plans for him -- and those plans involve a bone saw.

The clip opens with the Superior lying bloody and broken on a table in his Russian base. Aida stands over him, tending to him, and assures him that he will live through the experience. However, the Superior makes it clear that he isn't afraid to die; in fact, he'd rather die than be a "festering cripple" -- or, worse, "a thing" like her -- for the rest of his life.

Aida quickly shuts that down. "Don't worry," she tells him as she pulls out a bone saw. "You will be many things." That puts a short stop to the Superior's bravado, as he watches on in terror.

At this stage in the game, it's unclear what Aida is planning. We know her directive is to protect the Framework at all costs and that Radcliffe has repeatedly told her to respect human life. However, this latest stunt suggests she's not as bound to Radcliffe's word as it seems -- unless, of course, she is taking Radcliffe's directive in a too-literal way that isn't yet clear. It's also worth noting that there's no love lost between Radcliffe and the Superior, who consistently threatened Radcliffe; after all, the Superior was simply a means to Radcliffe's ends, since S.H.I.E.L.D. was holding him back.

Out of Radcliffe's sight, Aida has exhibited some strange behavior. For instance, after Agnes died, Aida took her necklace and put it on. Additionally, she watched with acute interest when the Superior set his Watchdogs on Patriot and they beat him to a bloody pulp. Now, she appears to have plans for the Superior. At this point, we can't tell for sure whether Aida is acting on Radcliffe's direction or her own.
