The recently-announced seventh season of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. may already have a production start date.

According to DiscussingFilm, the new season is slated to begin production in February, 2019, with filming taking place in Los Angeles. Bear in mind that this start date for Season 7 has yet to be confirmed by Marvel Television or ABC, so it's possible that this report may not be accurate. However, if this post is correct, the show's cast and crew will be back filming in just two months.

This report comes after series visual effects supervisor Mark Kolpack announced Season 6 had wrapped production earlier this month.

It was first announced back in May that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. had been renewed for a sixth season, prompting speculation that Season 6 would be the show's last. However, in November, ABC shocked viewers by preemptively ordering a seventh season of the show, though series veteran Clark Gregg (who will be making his big screen Marvel Cinematic Universe return in 2019's Captain Marvel) was conspicuously missing from the cast list.

Returning for its sixth season in July 2019 on ABC with thirteen new episodes, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. stars Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Henry Simmons, Iain De Caestecker, Natalia Cordova-Buckley and Elizabeth Henstridge. A release date for Season 7 has not yet been announced, but it is expected to arrive in 2020.
