With Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. coming back for a sixth season, there is some question on how it deals with the events of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. The dusting of Nick Fury and Maria Hill obviously affects S.H.I.E.L.D., but did it eliminate anyone important to the main cast?

It turns out that it doesn't matter since the Season 6 premiere found a clever way to deal with it. There will be a one-year time jump that happens in the world of the show, so the events of Avengers: Infinity War won't matter.

Season 6 of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns on May 10 with 13 episodes in this season. Avengers: Endgame hits on April 26, so it will still be in theaters going strong when the new season hits on ABC. The producers spoke about this issue during CBR's coverage of the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. WonderCon panel after showing the premiere for fans in attendance.

Concerning the connection to Avengers: Endgame, producer Jeph Loeb said, "You saw today -- it's one year later!" and encouraged everyone to watch the film. In the premiere episode of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s sixth season, there is actually a title card that pops up onscreen and states: "one year later."

With the worries about the Thanos-connection lifted, fans can just start to wonder how Agent Coulson returned from the dead once again.
