A new poster for Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., posted on the show's official Twitter, features the core cast assembled and ready for their sixth season premiere on May 10.
The image sets Mack (Henry Simmons) top and center, hinting at his new role as team leader. Daisy (Chloe Bennet), who has been a key player from the beginning, is shown front and center. The six other agents in the team are arranged around them, including a shifty-looking character who is played by Clark Gregg, but allegedly isn't Phil Coulson, but instead a devious doppelgänger.
The tweet is accompanied by the text, "Ready for a brand new mission. A new season of Marvel's
#AgentsofSHIELD premieres May 10 at 8|7c on ABC!"
The new season will allegedly take place one year after the events of Avengers: Endgame, in theaters now. At this point, it's unknown how the storyline and the characters will deal with the changes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is set to return to ABC on May 10 with 13 new episodes. The series stars Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Henry Simmons, Iain De Caestecker, Natalia Cordova-Buckley, Elizabeth Henstridge and Clark Gregg.
