Although the Season 6 premiere of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is still two months away, a new announcement about the ABC drama is being teased for next week.
The series' transmedia producer Geoffrey Colo posted a teaser for the series, with a promise for more details on Monday, March 18.
The first trailer for the sixth season premiered in January, but plot details have largely been kept under wraps.
Since then, a mysterious doppelgänger of Phil Coulson has been confirmed to appear approximately one year after the events of the Season 5 finale, which saw the longtime S.H.I.E.L.D. operative finally succumb to the the mortal wounds he endured at the hands of Loki in 2012's The Avengers. The sixth season will consist of 13 episodes divided into two story arcs with the eponymous team continuing to defend the world without Coulson's steady guidance.
ABC renewed the series for a seventh season in November, before production had even wrapped on Season 6.
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is set to return to ABC in May with 13 new episodes. The series stars Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Henry Simmons, Iain De Caestecker, Natalia Cordova-Buckley, Elizabeth Henstridge and Clark Gregg.
