"Bouncing Back," the midseason premiere of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.", didn't quite live up to its name when it came to Tuesday night's ratings.

According to TVLine, "S.H.I.E.L.D." returned from its three-month winter break with 3.5 million total viewers and a 1.1 demo rating. This both matches and hits series lows for the veteran Marvel Cinematic Universe-based show.

Despite this, "S.H.I.E.L.D." has already been renewed for a fourth season. The show continues to tackle the MCU's growing Inhuman population, with Daisy Johnson creating a specialized team of Inhuman agents tasked with helping others of their kind as they adjust to their new abilities. Though they have not been officially titled such in the show, they will become the Secret Warriors, based on the Marvel Comics series of the same name. This will likely be an issue that continues into the show's fourth season when it returns in the fall.

Starring Clark Gregg, Chloe Bennet and Ming-Na Wen, "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." will return to ABC at 9 pm EST on Tuesday, March 8.
