Ghost Rider is back! As he gears up to return as Robbie Reyes on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., star Gabriel Luna has shared one of his favorite Ghost Rider moments with CBR: his brutal first fight with Daisy "Quake" Johnson.

"I love everything about this scene. The visual effects, the fight choreography, and particularly the score during the moment Ghost Rider assesses Daisy's claim that she deserves to die, then stands and walks away," Luna said of the sequence.

The scene hails from the very beginning of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4, where Daisy began to investigate a series of murders in the Los Angeles area. She expected to find an Inhuman of some sort, but what she got was more than she bargained for: an otherworldly being hellbent on vengeance. In the clip above, she goes toe-to-toe with Robbie for the very first time and watches with horror as he transforms into Ghost Rider right before her very eyes.

This first on-screen transformation is explicit and grotesque; the skin flakes away from his face like ash, and the hollows of his eyes burn red like fire as his skull is engulfed by flames. Daisy hardly knows what to do in the face of such a supernatural event, and eventually succumbs when he pins her beneath a toppled set of metal shelves.

Over the course of the season, Robbie would come to work with S.H.I.E.L.D. to stop a supernatural threat. However, unbeknownst to Robbie, his uncle Eli Morrow was behind said supernatural threat -- and he didn't plan to stop after a few simple murders. Morrow had harnessed the power to create matter out of nothing, and he had big plans to use this ability for his own nefarious purposes. Before he could truly wield these powers, though, Robbie and the Ghost Rider pulled Morrow into an alternate dimension to stop him, but were dragged down themselves in the process. Robbie has not been seen or heard from since.

Well, until last night's episode "The Return," anyway. The destruction that Aida left in her wake at S.H.I.E.L.D. kickstarted the Darkhold's interdimensional portal, allowing Ghost Rider to step through. The character will play a big role in the show's Season 4 finale.

Airing Tuesdays at 10 pm ET/PT on ABC, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. stars Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Chloe Bennet as Daisy “Quake” Johnson, Ming-Na Wen as Melinda May, Iain De Caestecker as Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Jemma Simmons, Henry Simmons as Alphonso “Mack” Mackenzie and more.
