In "Farewell, Cruel World!", the next episode of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.", Daisy is back at S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters at last -- and she's not the only one. A new clip from the upcoming episode finds her reuniting with Antoine “Trip” Triplett and her real world partner Jemma Simmons.

The clip opens with Daisy running directly into Trip's arms. She tells him how glad she is to see him, only to realize soon after that he has never met her before. She quickly recovers by telling him that she heard he had been rescued as well.

Simmons quickly pulls Daisy aside to plot their next move. Fortunately, a few episodes prior, Daisy had learned the location of a backdoor out of the Framework from its creator Holden Radcliffe. Daisy hopes to round up the people they have left -- Coulson, Mack, May, Simmons and herself -- and exit the Framework as quickly as possible. Of course, that leaves out one key S.H.I.E.L.D. agent: Fitz. Though Simmons agrees to Daisy's plan, the look on her face makes it seem doubtful that she's telling the whole truth.

Trip was a fan-favorite character from the first two seasons of the series. The grandson of a Howling Commando, Trip preserved his grandfather’s legacy as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. He stood with Coulson’s team during the events of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” in Season 1 and fully joined the team in Season 2. However, his time on the team was short-lived. In the Season 2 mid-season finale, he and Daisy stumbled upon a Terrigenesis chamber, only for the Terrigen crystal at its core to explode. The shrapnel from the explosion gave him a fatal injury, and Daisy discovered his remains when she emerged from her Terrigenesis cocoon. For a long time afterward, Daisy felt responsible for his death and associated her newfound powers with it, though she eventually learned to cope with the trauma.

Though deceased since Season 2, Trip was able to return in Season 4 thanks to the Framework, a virtual world not unlike “The Matrix.” Since S.H.I.E.L.D. never survived and Daisy never underwent Terrigenesis, Trip lived long after his real-world death. In the Framework, Trip works with the late Jeffrey “The Patriot” Mace and his resistance against Hydra.
