The seventh and final season of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. brings the team together for one last adventure through space and time.

In an advance clip from the premiere episode, Daisy Johnson, Deke Shaw, S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Mack Mackenzie and Phil Coulson are seen walking the streets of 1931 on a new time-travel mission. As Mack warns the team not to cause any potential alterations to the space-time continuum, Deke ponders multiverse and timestream theories aloud.

Noting that as long as many, significant ripples in the timestream are avoided, Deke theorizes that the course of history should remain intact, while Daisy wonders if each action the group takes in the past results in the creation of new divergent timelines.

The new season will have extraterrestrials travel throughout history to ensure S.H.I.E.L.D. will not oppose them from conquering the Earth in its relative present. With a Life Model Decoy of Coulson in tow, the team sets out throughout the history of the intelligence agency to preserve the timeline and thwart the insidious plot.
