The release window for WandaVision spinoff Agatha: House of Harkness recently surfaced online.

Information about when the Disney+ series will debut first appeared in updated Writers Guild of America directory listings. The profiles for screenwriters Peter Cameron, Cameron Squires and Laura Donney now include Agatha: House of Harkness among their respective writing credits, and reveal that the show will air during the 2023-2024 TV season. The WGA directory also confirms that the WandaVision spinoff is a comedy, which tracks with previous reports regarding its tone.

Agatha: House of Harkness will see Kathryn Hahn reprise her role of Agatha Harkness, a powerful witch who manipulated the grief-stricken Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch in WandaVision. At the end of that series, Wanda stripped Agatha of her magical powers and imprisoned her in the harmless "Agnes" cover identity she previously assumed. Despite this, the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness have sparked speculation that Agatha Harkness is once again free to wreak havoc in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Little is known about the plot of Agatha: House of Harkness at this stage. Reports that Marvel Studios was planning a WandaVision spinoff first emerged in October 2021. The show was supposedly greenlit after critics and viewers alike responded strongly to Hahn's performance, which earned her several awards and award nominations. Marvel Studio's faith in the American actor and comedian is apparently so great that her new contract reportedly covers multiple MCU projects aside from House of Harkness.

Principal photography on Agatha: House of Harkness is set to begin in October 2022. Location shooting will take place in Atlanta, Georgia. Hahn previously commented on the secrecy surrounding the show, confessing that she was unaware its name was "Agatha: House of Harkness" until Marvel Studios announced it to the world. "I didn't even know the title of the show until it was released to the public, they keep it so tight," she said.

Hahn also revealed why she's looking forward to playing Agatha Harkness again. "There is something that does feel so badass to be playing like, you know, we think of a witch, and you think of, immediately, you think of a woman who is loud, who is mysterious, who is dangerous because she's complicated and she's misunderstood," she explained. "And all that stuff is a real turn-on to me as a performer in terms of digging into this person a little bit more. [I'm] very excited."

Agatha: House of Harkness does not yet have a specific release date.
