Following Edgar Wright's abrupt departure in May from Marvel's Ant-Man, some, including Deadline, speculated the filmmaker might turn his attention to the Disney adaptation of Kolchak: The Night Stalker. However, now the website passes along word that he will instead revisit the long-gestating Baby Driver.

Announced in 2008 as part of a two-picture deal with Working Title Films, Baby Driver was originally intended to be released before The World's End. It was described at the time as "a wild spin on the action and crime genre which will be set in the U.S." Deadline adds "a collision of crime, action, music and sound" to the mix.

The project is apparently on the fast track, which presumably means more details will surface sooner rather than later.
