Boxing legend "Iron" Mike Tyson is scheduled to once again return to the world of professional wrestling - but not with WWE. It was announced during last night's episode of AEW Dynamite on TNT that Tyson will be on hand to officially present the TNT Championship to either Cody Rhodes or Lance Archer at the promotion's next pay-per-view, Double or Nothing.Rhodes and Archer competed in a TNT Championship tournament over the past few weeks, facing stiff competition to earn their spot in the finals at Double or Nothing. Cody defeated both Shawn Spears and Darby Allin to earn his spot, while Archer beat Colt Cabana and Cody's brother Dustin Rhodes on his way to the finals. The winner of the final match will be subsequently crowned the inaugural TNT Champion, which is being positioned as AEW's secondary singles title next to the AEW World Championship, currently held by Jon Moxley.Acknowledging Tyson's appearance, Cody took to his Twitter account, sharing how "it's been a privilege to compete in this tournament. Tyson famously crossed over into the world of pro wrestling back in the late '90s, appearing alongside Shawn Michaels and D-Generation X in their feud against "Stone Cold" Steve Austin ahead of their clash at WrestleMania XIV. Tyson would serve as a special outside enforcer during their championship match, eventually making a quick three count to crown Austin the new WWF Champion. Austin would then present Tyson with an Austin 3:16 t-shirt. Michaels would confront Tyson over the situation, attempting to sucker punch the boxer only to be knocked out by a right hook.
AEW Double or Nothing takes place live on May 23 from an undisclosed location.
