Adult Swim Pays Tribute to David Bowie With 'Venture Bros.' Video

Adult Swim U.K. has paid tribute to the late David Bowie with a video that highlights his most memorable appearances on "The Venture Bros."

As longtime fans of the series know, the Thin White Duke was the favorite guise of The Sovereign, the mysterious shape-shifting leader of the Guild of Calamitous Intent. However, the music legend's influence extended beyond that one character; there's also, for instance, Major Tom, who was introduced in an episode that borrowed dialogue from the lyrics of "Space Oddity" and "Ashes to "Ashes."

As "The Venture Bros." creators Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer related to SPINOFF following Bowie's death, the rock icon played a large role in their lives.

"What he did affected me deeply," Hammer said. "And that’s still out there. That’s still affecting me and it always will."

"The Venture Bros." returns Sunday, Jan. 31, on Adult Swim.
