As Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. readies to begin production on Season 7 -- well before the sixth season debuts -- many fans continue to ponder the fate of one of the show's fan-favorite characters, Bobbi Morse aka Mockingbird. After debuting in Season 2, Morse (Adrianne Palicki) was eventually written off during Season 3 with the expectation that she would lead her own series, titled Marvel's Most Wanted. Of course, the series never happened and Bobbi Morse has yet to pop back in to assist her fellow S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.

However, according to Palicki, she's just waiting on a call to suit back up as Morse.

"Listen, if they ask me to come back, I would absolutely come back," she told TVLine before noting her Most Wanted co-star Lance Hunter (Nick Blood)'s return this past season. "I was like, "Nick [Blood] came back [for a Season 5 episode] — what the hell, guys?"

For fans of S.H.I.E.L.D., many figured once ABC passed over Most Wanted, the series would eventually figure out a way to at least bring Morse back into the fold one way or another. While that has yet to happen, it doesn't mean it's entirely impossible. Hopefully the showrunners figure something out soon, because production on Season 7 is rumored to begin relatively soon.

For now, fans can catch Palicki in Season 2 of The Orville. The series, which also stars Seth MacFarlane, airs Sundays at 9:00 p.m. on Fox.
