As promised, Adi Shankar, producer of Netflix’s Castlevania series, will be delivering some big news tomorrow, which many are expecting to be confirmation of a long-rumored show for Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda franchise.
The Zelda rumors have been swirling for some time now, heightening with a recent tease from Shankar that he was working with an “iconic Japanese gaming company to adapt one of their iconic video game series into a series." He fueled speculation today by tweeting, "Dear video game industry & entertainment industry. Tomorrow 1pm PST. Get ready."
Shankar's bank of video game adaptations has been running deep with Netflix lately, as he’s also the producer of an upcoming animated series for Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed franchise, which released a new installment in October with Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey.

It remains to be seen if this project will be for Netflix, but with the franchise’s most recent release, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, from last year, becoming the bestselling Zelda game this past summer, it would make sense for both parties to capitalize on the traction, especially as Shankar's two seasons of Castlevania have been met with rousing approval from critics and fans alike.
