2016 marks the 50th anniversary of the classic "Batman" television series starring Adam West and Burt Ward as the Dynamic Duo. The show, known for its tongue-in-cheek tone and campy take on superheroics, has become a beloved favorite among comic fans, even spawning a modern day comic called "Batman '66." And, as the Batman actor revealed during a recent appearance at MegaCon in Orlando, fans looking to get more of West and Ward in the roles might just be in luck.

"Well, I have a gag order," said West, as reported by MeTV. "Me and Burt have been working on a new project that's just gonna knock your socks off, and believe me, it's our Batman and Robin."

It's possible that West is referring to new '60s Batman animated feature film that was revealed to be in the works last year. The project was unofficially announced during Adam West and Burt Ward's appearance at a convention back in March 2015. At that convention, Burt Ward said that fans could "look forward to a new animated Batman full-length 90-minute feature coming out on the 50th anniversary -- one of possibly two, but for sure one that Adam and I are going to be doing the voices for."

No further details about the mysterious animated Batman project have been revealed, although it's likely that that will change at some point in 2016 as this year marks the 50th anniversary of the '60s series.
