Marvel released a teaser image earlier this month depicting three of the Infinity Stones floating above the outstretched hands of Logan, Guardians of the Galaxy’s Star-Lord and Captain Marvel, accompanied by the message, “They hold Infinity! The countdown begins in February.”

Introduced in 1967 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in Fantastic Four #66, Adam Warlock was originally known simply as Him. His last appearance was in 2016's The Infinity Finale #1, by Jim Starlin and Ron Lim, where the character was brought back to life at the request of Thanos following his death in The Thanos Imperative six years earlier.

Here is the solicitation text for the one-shot:

ADAM WARLOCK IS BACK! Reborn from the realm of the dead, Adam has come seeking the Soul Stone…and the truth about what it did to Him! His guide through this Infinity Quest is none other than…Kang the Conqueror?!? Be there as Adam begins down the dark trail sure to lead him into the heart of the mystery of the Infinity Stones…

Infinity Countdown: Adam Warlock #1, by Gerry Duggan and Aaron Kuder, goes on sale Feb. 7, 2018, from Marvel Comics.
