Fan-favorite cosmic adventurer Adam Strange will soon return in his own 12-issue limited series by the creative team of Tom King, Mitch Gerads and Evan Shaner. While DC announced the 2020-bound series in July, details about the aptly titled Strange Adventures have been scarce. However, series co-artist Evan Shaner has finally shared a first look at his interior artwork.

"Some color tests I put together before getting started on #DCStrangeAdventures," Shaner tweeted. The accompanying artwork includes three separate panels, the third of which features the titular superhero. What's more, "Let's get strange" is written in a bold font, which appears to be a sort of mission statement for the upcoming series.

Given that Shaner described the images as color tests, the artwork itself may not be final.

The highly anticipated Strange Adventures is the third DC limited series by writer Tom King after The Omega Men and the Eisner Award-winning Mister Miracle. Moreover, King will soon wrap up his run on the Batman title before launching another 12-issue limited series starring both Batman and Catwoman.
