As the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Four nears its conclusion, the heroes have subsequently left their Earth (and Earth-838) in shambles. With Wanda destroying entire organizations, Spider-Man causing major safety hazards in New York, and Moon Knight having a Kaiju-esque fight in Egypt, it’s safe to say that the heroes have accumulated their fair share of debts. Not only this, but the public relations of The Avengers would struggle to explain all the casualties and destruction that the heroes have left in their wake. With Tony Stark gone, the team needs someone to help with funding and relationships and bring a friendly face to their world in uncertain times. One person could not only succeed at these tasks but even excel at them. The person in question? None other than actor and comedian Adam Sandler.

As of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Phase Four of the MCU has seen a small town changed on a cellular level multiple times, structural damage to high-rise buildings in Macau, Kamar-taj mostly destroyed, and the average structural damage that comes with a high-stakes fight. Totaled, these fees would roughly be an estimated $300 thousand minimum. This total does not include any emotional distress lawsuits that would undoubtedly be filed, as civilians would have to adjust to life without a home. Assuming roughly 100 people had undergone emotional distress, an additional $195 thousand would have to be added to the bill. With civilians suffering, houses lost, and potential medical fees to cover, The Avengers would have to disperse a total of $495,000 to start. For this money and talent, they would have to begin a hunt for a new hero.

Humor is often a subjective talent, a talent in which many struggle to accommodate their audience. When jokes fall flat, so does the paycheck. As a result, many comedians may find themselves running out of money and unable to turn a profit in an ever-changing world. Yet, Adam Sandler has an estimated $420 million net worth as of 2021, earning a place as one of the highest-paid actors of all time. A net worth such as this would easily cover the $495,000 needed by The Avengers. His film Just Go With It had a budget of $80 million but generated a box-office of $215 million despite the divided audiences. To pull off such a feat, one would have to rely on their ability to pivot around reviews, create a positive self-image, and simultaneously market their next feature while marketing the poorly reviewed one. Sandler has pulled off such a feat not just once but multiple times with Grown Ups, Zohan, and even Pixels.

Combining his forces with the MCU's Avengers, Adam Sandler would most likely have to begin having heart-to-heart conversations with the crowd of civilians who had sued for emotional distress. With such conversations, The Avengers could see a spike in popularity, as Sandler can easily get onto someone’s level. Sandler’s latest film, Hustle, shows the audience he can assume roles that coach others onto the right track. SWORD would most likely approach Sandler with an added request: the potential funds he could put into the company. A large stream of revenue from a face like Sandler would be useful in covering damage costs, as the profits of each new low-budget feature created could go toward a relief fund for the buildings. While this may seem a good idea, would Sandler even be approached to join The Avengers?

The question of who would approach who is difficult at best, but due to there being no strong indication as to who the current leader of The Avengers is, it can be assumed that S.W.O.R.D. would have to take the lead. Established in WandaVision, S.W.O.R.D. is the replacement for S.H.I.E.L.D., an organization that aided the Avengers in various conflicts. S.W.O.R.D. would most likely look for an out to help the Avenger’s PR, to which Adam Sandler’s comedy would be the best choice. A deal would have to be signed on what tasks Sandler would have to perform and if S.W.O.R.D. would own exclusive rights to him. S.W.O.R.D. would have to pay a minimum of $300 million to obtain Sandler based on his recent Netflix dealings.

While obtaining no visible powers, Adam Sandler could easily rival the likes of Iron Man. With smart business dealings, a solid acting career, and a large net worth, Sandler can pull off more than just being a Hollywood actor. He could be the best Avenger the MCU has ever seen.
