Adam McKay's 'The Big Short' Confirms Bale, Carell, Gosling and Pitt

With production under way in New Orleans, Paramount Pictures, New Regency and Plan B Entertainment have officially announced  Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt are headlining director Adam McKay's "The Big Short."

They're joined by Melissa Leo, Marissa Tomei, Tracy Letts, Hamish Linklater, John Magaro, Byron Mann, Rafe Spall, Jeremy Strong and Finn Wittrock.

Based on "Moneyball" author Michael Lewis' bestseller “The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine," it tells the true story of the genius contrarian investors who, recognizing just how insane the housing bubble had become, devised a way to "short" the market prior to the financial collapse of 2008.
