Adam Beach Saddles Up For Cowboys & Aliens

Adam Beach has joined the growing cast of Cowboys & Aliens, Jon Favreau's adaptation of the 2006 Platinum Studios graphic novel.

He joins Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, Olivia Wilde, Sam Rockwell, Paul Dano, Keith Carradine and Clancy Brown in the DreamWorks/Universal film, which centers on a group of cowboys, Apache warriors, outlaws and simple townsfolk who join forces in 1870s Arizona Territory after an alien spaceship crash-lands in their desert town. Beach will play Nat Colorado, a half-Apache who works for Ford's character.

Most recently appearing in HBO's Big Love, Beach is perhaps best known for his roles in the films Windtalkers and Flags of Our Fathers, and a stint on NBC's Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Favreau is expected to begin shooting this summer from a script by Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and Damon Lindelof. Cowboys & Aliens opens on July 29, 2011.
