Since the release of the first trailer for Robert Pattinson and Matt Reeves’ The Batman, fans have been getting excited for the film’s release, with many loving what was shown in the trailer. While the film is set to give the world new interpretations on Catwoman, Riddler, and Penguin, there are questions over the appearances of future villains.

While the Joker will always be brought up, another character who would fit nicely into this world would be Harvey Dent (and eventually Two-Face). The character was most recently portrayed by Aaron Eckhart in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight, but it is only a matter of time before he resurfaces.

10 Chris Evans

Captain-America-Chris-Evans

While Chris Evans is obviously most well known for playing the heroic Captain America in the MCU, the actor has also shown that he is more than talented enough to portray more villainous roles, as shown in his recent work in Knives Out.

Chris Evans would be able to bring that ‘public charm’ that Dent is typically shown to carry before his transformation into Two-Face, while also possessing the physicality to take on Batman to some extent.

9 Daniel Craig

Daniel Craig, knives out

While far older than Robert Pattinson’s Batman, Daniel Craig could bring a new dimension to the Two-Face character. There’s no denying that Craig can pull of a suit, as he’s shown in both Knives Out and the Bond franchise.

There’s no secret that Craig has been wanting to leave the Bond franchise for sometime, and playing a villain would allow Craig to play a character entirely different to James Bond.

8 Dev Patel

Dev Patel

Dev Patel is one of the most talented actors working today. Since bursting onto the scene in Skins, Patel has starred in Slumdog Millionaire, Lion, and most recently in The Personal History of David Copperfield.

There’s no denying that Dev Patel would bring a different dimension to the Harvey Dent character, with Patel being of a similar age to Robert Pattinson’s Batman as well.

7 John David Washington

John David Washington

Since his star turn in Christopher Nolan’s Tenet, many have been picturing John David Washington as John Stewart’s Green Lantern, with several pieces of fan art circulating online that show how great Washington would look in the role.

However, while he may end up playing the Green Lantern, he would also do an incredible job as Harvey Dent, with the split personalities of Two-Face helping to truly highlight Washington’s talent.

6 Matt Smith

Matt Smith as the Doctor in Doctor Who

While he is primarily known for playing the role of the Eleventh Doctor in Doctor Who, Matt Smith has shown he is more than capable of playing more down to earth and dramatic roles, as his performance as Prince Philip in The Crown showed.

Matt Smith certainly has the face structure to play Harvey Dent and, as shown in a particular episode of Doctor Who, can marvelously portray two sides of one character.

5 Jude Law

Jude Law

Jude Law is one of the most talented actors in Hollywood today, with the British actor being able to excel in almost any genre of filmmaking. While Law did recently play the villain in Captain Marvel, it would be interesting to see what he could do with a more psychologically tormented villain such as Harvey Dent.

Jude Law would excel at bringing out the tragic nature of Dent, while also being able to play up to Dent’s ‘pre-Two-Face’ levels of charm and grace.

4 Idris Elba

Idris elba

Launched into stardom by his role as John Luther, Idris Elba has appeared in several Hollywood movies over the past decade, with the actor now set to appear as Bloodsport in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie directed by James Gunn.

His role as Luther, however, shows that he would be fantastic as Harvey Dent. Like Dent, Luther has a kind of split personality, with the detective being prone to violence and emotional outbursts. Elba portrayed this magnificently in Luther and would be able to do so again with Harvey Dent.

3 Jon Hamm

Jon Hamm as Don Draper in Mad Men

More than anyone else on this list, John Hamm looks like a comic book character. He has one of the strongest jawlines in Hollywood and, as a result, is frequently mentioned as a popular fan cast for the role of Bruce Wayne.

While he may be too old for Bruce Wayne, he would be incredible in the role of Harvey Dent. He has the looks and the acting talent necessary to bring the comic book Harvey Deny to the big screen.

2 Armie Hammer

Armie HAmmer

Armie Hammer very nearly starred as Bruce Wayne, with the actor set to appear as the billionaire playboy in a doomed Justice League project. While this wasn’t to be the case, this hasn’t stopped fans imagining him as Bruce Wayne.

However, while Hammer could undoubtedly do well as Wayne, he would also suit the role of Harvey Dent. Hammer has the looks necessary to pull off the pre-Tw0-Face Dent, but would also excel in finally playing a villain on screen.

1 Henry Golding

Henry Golding In Gentlemen

Henry Golding is one of the rising stars in Hollywood, with the actor shooting into the public eye in one of the leading roles in Crazy Rich Asians. However, it is his most recent role in Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen that holds him in good stead for Two-Face.

Golding showed that he is more than talented enough to play the villain and would be able to pull of that dual personality of the Gotham City District Attorney wonderfully.
