Activision Blizzard has developed a gamertag generator inspired by Call of Duty League.

To use the MyTag tool, users must first enter the month they were born and their first initial. The next step is to select your favorite Call of Duty League team: Atlanta FaZe, Dallas Empire, Florida Mutineers, London Royal Ravens, Los Angeles Guerillas, Los Angeles Thieves, Minnesota ROKKR, New York Subliners, Paris Legion, Seattle Surge or Toronto Ultra. The final step is to select your Call of Duty League playstyle: Rush the objective, guns blazing; hang back, covering fire; or sneak in; knives out. Once all the fields have been filled out, the app will generate a gamertag that can be used in Call of Duty League or as a general gamertag for Xbox Live or PlayStation Network.

Call of Duty League debuted in 2020 as a professional esports like akin to Overwatch League. Owned by Activision Blizzard, CDL uses a tournament point system and pits teams in best-of-five series using different Call of Duty game modes and maps.

The first season used 2019's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, while the 2021 season will use Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
