Event Leviathan saw the title villain taking down the DC Universe's biggest and best intelligence agencies while contending with its mightiest heroes. In that event's epic conclusion, Mark Shaw/Manhunter was revealed to be Leviathan. His role in the DC Universe is set to expand following Event Leviathan, and he even returned at the end of Action Comics #1018 to again take on Superman.
