Action Comics #1000 will serve as a major milestone for DC Comics, and -- in preparation for the occasion -- the publisher has now revealed seven of eight variant covers, each celebrating a decade from the title's storied history.
The covers are designed to capture "the look and feel of the Man of Steel throughout different eras of his 80-year run." Cover artists include Steve Rude (Future Quest), Michael Cho (Batman Black and White), Dave Gibbons (Watchmen), Michael Allred (Bug!: The Adventures of Forager), Jim Steranko (Catwoman: Selina's Big Score), Dan Jurgens (Action Comics) and Kevin Nowlan (Hawkman: Found), Lee Bermejo (Luthor) and Joshua Middleton (Aquaman). With the exception of Middleton's 1980s cover, you can see all of the variants below.
