Academia meets pop culture in this office Shelf Porn

Hello and welcome to Shelf Porn! Today's collection comes from Dan O’Rourke, who teaches courses like "American Comics," thus giving him a reason to decorate his office with the likes of Superman, Captain America and more.

If you’d like to see your collection featured here on ROBOT 6, you can find instructions on how to do so at the end of this post.

And now here's Dan ...

I have a little “Office Porn” for you. I am an Associate Professor of Communication Studies who has taught courses in "American Comics" and written a couple of book chapters about Superman, Spider-Man in India and the X-Men. Thus, it is somewhat legitimate to decorate my office with superhero mementos and artifacts. It also makes it a lot more fun as a working space.

P.S. I also added a photo of my new license plate. (It is good to live in Ohio, the birthplace of Superman.) It was a Father’s Day gift from my family.

If you’d like to see your collection featured here on Robot 6, here’s what you need to do:

1. Take some photos and save them as jpgs.2. Write up a little something about your collection.3. Send them to me in an email. Please put the text into an email and attach the images as separate files; don’t embed them into a Word doc. Uploading them to Dropbox or a similar service also works.
