The inimitable cowlick (and corresponding lower half) of director JJ Abrams has been confirmed as playable in "LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens." Abrams is accompanied in LEGO form by Lucasfilm president and "The Force Awakens" producer Kathleen Kennedy in the latest "Star Wars" video game.

The addition of the two characters was first revealed in a video posted by Kotaku, where some additional details can be gleaned. Both Abrams and Kennedy share the same character traits. They can accept Resistance missions, command troops and traverse levels using a grappling hook.

Characters can be changed on the fly, and you're always in the presence of a partner, so both Abrams and Kennedy can be active at the same time. Abrams sports both a blaster and an old fashioned film camera, while Kennedy has a blaster and a stylized "Star Wars" T-shirt.

LEGO games have long been known for their cameos, like the dancing Stan Lee in "LEGO Marvel Super Heroes" and the various Nintendo characters in the Wii U exclusive "LEGO City Undercover," but this may mark the first time a creator of the source media has been playable in its LEGO adaptation.

"LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is currently available for Windows 10, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One and iOS. Lens flare is, presumably, included.
